Thousands of Elvis fans Australia-wide have clicked onto www.elvisbyrequest.com.au and placed their votes for Australia’s favourite Elvis track. The tallies have been counted and the Top 40 songs are being compiled onto a special Double CD, to be released on the 35th Anniversary of Elvis’s passing through Sony Music. ELVIS BY REQUEST is being compiled and released with the approval of the Elvis Presley estate and Australia is the only country outside the USA to be given permission to put this album together.

This commemorative CD will form the soundtrack to an exclusive Australian tour of select venues - ELVIS BY REQUEST: THE CONCERT, starring one of Australia’s most loved Elvis impersonators, Anthony Petrucci, backed by his sensational six-piece band.

Featuring two sets of hits; the first ‘by request’, will place the set list in the hands of the audience featuring tracks from the Double CD, with the second counting down Elvis’ top ten voted and most loved songs from the Double CD compilation.

Some of the songs that are sure to feature include; ALWAYS ON MY MIND, KENTUCKY RAIN and The WONDER OF YOU. Some obscure Elvis tracks also receiving votes including EDGE OF REALITY, YOU GAVE ME A MOUNTAIN and A MESS OF BLUES.

For star Anthony Petrucci, like his fans, Elvis Presley became his biggest idol and inspiration, which is truly evident when in Anthony’s presence.

Taking the stage as the King of Rock in The Class Of ’59 stage production in 2011 and 2012, Anthony made his first national television appearance in 2005 on Channel 9’s talent contest, “StarStruck”. Portraying his idol, Anthony went on to win the competition allowing him to join the world famous Legends In Concert at the Imperial Palace in fabulous Las Vegas. Before too long, Anthony’s travels would soon see him back in the USA travelling to the birthplace town of Presley performing at the Lyric Theatre Tupelo before heading south to Tupelo Mississippi where Presley once grew up before his well documented move to Memphis Tennessee and change the face of popular music forever.

ELVIS BY REQUEST will be available instores and online on August 16th, 35 years to the day when he died at his home, Graceland, in Memphis, Tennessee. The complete Top 40 tracklisting will be announced on www.elvisbyrequest.com.au on the evening of 15th August, 2012 ahead of the release date.
